Helping and doing good for the upliftment of others should always be top of mind no matter how small the gesture. This is best exemplified with the partnership we have as a community, together with the Ateneo School of Medicine for the Mini Micro-Finance Program, an outreach project, helping a select group of carinderia owners achieve more for their family.
For those of you who are not aware of the humble beginnings of our project, the Mini Micro-Finance Program has been helping six carinderia owners and merienda vendors of Barangay Ugong since 2011. We selected a few carinderia owners from the barangay and extended financial aid for them to grow their businesses. Each entrepreneur was able to receive a sizable loan which is payable over a period of 4 months. So far, these owners have been growing bigger and getting better since we extended help last 2011. This could not have been possible without the usual cooperation and support each and every homeowner of Valle Verde 5 has extended.
Last July 1, together with the help of Brgy Chair Jesse Santiago, and our Board Directors Atty. Judo Bonifacio and Dra. Pat Aranas, we have renewed the loans of six carinderia owners and merienda vendors, helping them be successful for their own families and communities in our own small way possible. The help we extended means a lot to these entrepreneurs as it gives them more hope that things will be better for their families and at the same time, they may also find means to help others in the process. It was a happy occasion at the Brgy hall as the entrepreneurs accepted their renewed loans from the Valle Verde 5 representatives.

Due to the success of our outreach project, we are continuously processing applications from other carinderia owners and merienda owners so we can help more people via the micro-finance program. Hopefully, this expands into bigger outreach projects our community can be proud of.
The Mini Micro-Finance Program project is just a small way of giving back to the community for the countless blessings we get to receive on a daily basis. The happiness one feels after extending help is priceless and more than enough reason to reach out more to others and give them a chance to succeed in their endeavors.
